ISRAEL’S aid blockade in the Gaza Strip has affected Palestinian children and adults. Aid workers and medical professionals claim that almost two million Palestinians living in Gaza have reached a tipping point in their hunger. Nearly a third of Gazans have not eaten for days, according to the United Nations World Food Programme, and nearly 100,000 women and children urgently need treatment for malnutrition. Medical professionals report that many essential medications and treatments are not available anymore.
After intense international pressure, Israel has on occasions permitted some vehicles to enter the Gaza Strip and there have been some airdrops, which, as everyone around the world knows, have been totally insufficient.
Human Rights Watch has stated that Israel is committing a genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza. The truth has come to light. However, the world has done nothing to stop Israel, and it continues to do nothing. Governments should take due action or they will be remembered for their role in the ongoing massacre and man-made famine in Palestine.
